جيتيا jītiyā जीवत्पुत्रिका S̱. s. f. Name of a Hindū fast, with sacrifice to and worship of Devī (jītiyā-barat), observed by women, who have lost several children, to preserve the re- mainder.

راجپوت rāj-pūt राजपुत्र S̱. s. m. 1. A de- scendant of a rājā. 2. The name of a tribe. S̱. P. راجپوتانه rājpūt-āna, adj. Like or belonging to the rājpūts. The province of Ajmeer is so termed.

(See پوتلي). پتلي کاتاراکرنا putlī kā tārā karnā, To honour or esteem as the apple of the eye. S. پتن पतन (r. पत Fall) patan, s. m. The act of falling. पत्तन pattan (in comp.) A town, a city.
