مدن मदन madan S s. m. 1. Love, lust. 2. A name of Kāma-deva, q. v. 3. Name of a medicinal plant, Datura. 4. The plant called مين پهل maiṅ-phal (Gardenia dumetorum: Kœn. Vangueria spinosa: Roxb.). مدن بان madan-bān, Name of a flower.

مدهـ سودن मधुसूदन madhu-sūdan S A name of Kr̤ish̤ṇa, who slew a demon named Madhu.

مردن मर्द्दन mardan S s. Rubbing, anointing, bruising, trampling, treading down.

مردنيان mardaniyāṅ मार्द्दनीयाः S̱. s. m. plur. Attendants whose business it is to rub oil, per- fumed paste, &c. over the body.

ميجنا mījnā मर्द्दन S̱. v. a. To rub with the hands.
