تکفل takafful A (inf. v. of کفل) s. m. 1. Taking security. 2. Becoming security for another; bail.

تکفير takfīr A (inf. ii. of کفر or کفاره) s. f. 1. Co- vering. 2. Expiating a crime, doing penance or paying a mulct as atonement. 3. Humbling oneʼs self before another (putting the hand upon the breast, and inclining the head), showing distant respect. 4. Accusing one of impiety, calling him infidel, making one an unbeliever. 5. Guiltiness.

تکفين takfīn A (inf. ii. of کفن) s. f. Putting on the winding sheet, laying in the coffin, &c. shrouding, sepulture. تکفين کرنا takfīn karna, To shroud, to coffin.

متکفل mutakaffil A part. act. (V. of کفل) Be- coming surety, undertaking; bail or surety (the person).

معتکف muﻌtakif A part. act. (VIII. of عکف) Constant in prayer at the temple, or constant in devotion.

کف kaf P s. f. 1. Foam, froth, spittle, scum, phlegm.

کفاف kafāf A (from کفّ) adj. Equal, adequate. s. m. Pittance, daily bread.

کفالت kafālat A (from کفل) s. f. Pledge, pawn, security, responsibility, bail.

کفايت kifāyat A (from کفي) s. f. Sufficiency, enough, abundance, plenty, surplus, economy, thrift. کفايت شعار kifāyat-shiʼāﻌr, Economical, thrify. کفايت کرنا kifāyat karnā, To save, to answer, to suffice, to serve, to do.

کفايتي kifāyat-ī A. 1. s. f. Abundance, plenty, sufficiency. 2. adj. Thrifty, frugal. 3. Cheap, purchased for less than its value.
