ابکاٴي ubkāʼī H (see ابکنا) s. f. Act of vomiting.

اسکانا uskānā S̱. (r. उष Burn) v. a. To light a fire or candle; to excite, to instigate. S. آسکت 1. āsakt, आसक्त (from आ and r. संज Adhere) adj. Fond, enamoured, addicted, de- voted to, strongly inclined to. 2. आसक्ति āsakti, s. f. Attachment, fondness.

اشکال ashkāl A s. plur. (of شکل) Forms, figures, shapes, appearances, semblances.

اعتکاف iﻌtikāf A (inf. viii. of عکف) s. m. 1. Continuing in the temple or mosque (especially at Mecca). 2. Restraining, curbing the pas- sions from religious motives, as in lent.

امکان imkān A (inf. iv. of مکن) s. m. Possibi- lity; contingent existence (in opposition to وجوب Necessity, or necessary existence).

امکاني imkān-ī A adj. Possible, contingent.
