ڐنڐ ḍanḍ दंड S̱. s. m. 1. The arm above the elbow. 2. A kind of exercise, placing the hands on the ground and then bending down so as al- most to touch the earth with the breast. ڐنڐ پيل ḍanḍ-pel, One who exercises himself at the ḍanḍ.

ڐنڐا ḍanḍā दंड S̱. s. m. 1. A staff, an ensign- staff. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A collector of market duties. See ڐنڐيا sign. 2.

ڐنڐوت ḍanḍ-wat दंडवत् S̱. s. f. Hindū sa- lutation, bow, obeisance, prostration.

ڐنڐي ḍanḍī H s. f. The tube of the corolla of the Nyctanthes arbortristis, which is used for dying.

ڐنڐي ḍanḍī दंडी S. s. f. 1. A handle. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A mendicant who carries a staff in his hand. پگ ڐنڐي pag- ḍanḍī, s. f. A footpath, by-path, track.

ڐنڐيا ḍanḍiyā H s. m. 1. A kind of garment for women. 2. A collector of market duties.

ڐنڐير ḍanḍīr H s. f. A line, stripe, score, linea- ment.

ڐنک ḍank H s. m. The sting of a reptile or wasp, &c. but particularly of a scorpion. ڐنک مارنا ḍank mārnā, v. a. To sting.

ڐنکا ḍankā ढक्का S̱. s. m. A double drum, a kettledrum.

ڐنکارنا ḍaṅkārnā H v. n. (dakh.) To bellow, &c.: see ڐکارنا ḍakārnā.

ڐنکاٴي ḍankā-ī S̱. s. f. Wages of a beater of the kettledrum.
