آب حیواني āb-i-ḥaiwān-ī P s. Water of life; name of the fabulous fountain of immortality.

آسماني āsmān-ī P adj. Heavenly, celestial, from heaven, sky-coloured, cerulean, azure. آسماني تیروغیره āsmānī tīr wa g̠ẖairah, An arrow, &c. shot in the air. S. اسمرت स्मृति (r. समृ Remember) ismirti or smr̤iti, s. f. The Hindū law.

آسني āsanī S̱. s. f. A small carpet, &c. on which Hindūs sit at prayer. See آسن आसन.

آمدني āmdanī P (from آمدن To come) s. f. 1. Coming, arrival. 2. Import, income, revenue, ways. 3. The season in which any merchan- dise generally arrives. 4. Perquisites, any thing gained over and above.

آمني سامني āmne sāmne S̱. (from آمنا سامنا q. v.) adv. Opposite, face to face, over against.
