تنعيم tanʼīﻌm A (inf. ii. of نعم) s. m. 1. Bestowing abundance. 2. Saying نعم yes (in confirmation of a debt, &c.).

منعم munʼiﻌm A (part. act. IV. of نعم Heb. ) s. m. A benefactor. adj. Liberal.

نعل naﻌl A (Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. Shoe (of a horse or man). 2. The ferrule at the end of a scabbard. 3. A hoof. 4. A wife. نعل بند naﻌl-band, A blacksmith who shoes horses, a farrier. نعل بندي naﻌl-band-ī, s. f. 1. Shoeing, giving a horse new shoes, in opposition to khol-bandī, which means changing a horseʼs shoes. 2. A light tribute.

نعلين naﻌlain A s. dual. (of نعل) A pair of shoes of a particular kind, i. e. with wooden soles.

نعم niʼaﻌm A s. plur. (of نعمت Heb. ) 1. Fa- vours, benefits. 2. Pleasure, comfort, affluence, ease or blessing (of life). ¶ نعم البدل niﻌma-l-badal, Blessings of the change, excellent the change! change for the better.

نعما naﻌmā A s. See نعمت niﻌmat.

نعمت niﻌmat A s. f. 1. Favour, graciousness, benefit. 2. Delight, joy. 3. Affluence, ease, wealth, good thing or comfort of life, blessing or favour of heaven. 4. A delicacy.

نعناع naﻌnāﻌ A s. m. Mint. (Mentha sativa).

نعوذ naʼūﻌẕu A 1st. pers. plur. aor. of عوذ Heb. To flee for refuge to any person or place. نعوذ بالله naʼūﻌẕu bi-l-lāhi, Let us flee to God (from any thing wicked).

نعوظ nuʼūﻌz̤ A (from نعظ) s. m. Erectio et intensio (penis).

نعيم naʼīﻌm A s. Pleasure, benefits, goods. جنت النعيم jannatu-n-naʼīﻌm (Garden of delight) one of the heavens (according to Muhammadans).
