مـﮩون mihūṅ S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Rain: see مينـﮩ meṅh, and مهيون mhyūṅ. S. مـﮩي 1. मही mahī, s. f. The earth. مـﮩي پت mahī-pat (महीपति Lord of the earth) A king. 2. (for मथित) s. f. Buttermilk.

مون मौन maun S s. m. Silence, taciturnity. مون گـﮩنا maun gahnā, or مون سادهنا maun sādhnā, To remain silent, to practise taciturnity.

مرزا mirzā P (from امير Chief, and part. pass. of زادن To be born) s. m. 1. A prince. 2. A title of Musalmāns. (Plur. مرزايان). مرزابي پروا mirzā be parwā (dakh.) Three small delicate golden chains, worn as the ṭīkā, fixed to the hair by small hooks, the lower hanging ends being either set or not with precious stones: Qanoon-e-islam, App. p. xviii. مرزا مزاج mirzā- mizāj, adj. Fastidious, nice.

متعبد mutaʼaﻌbbid A (part. act. V. from عبد Heb. ) adj. 1. Devout, religious. 2. Refractory, stubborn (a camel).

ملولا malolā A. (from ملول) s. m. Vexation, griet, affliction, sadness, melancholy, regret.

مدهي mudahhī A (part. act. II. of دها) adj. Af- firming (him) to be unfortunate, blaming, being the cause of misfortune (to any one).

منظور manz̤ūr A (part. pass. of نظر Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Seen, looked at, admired, visi- ble, chosen, approved of, agreeable, acceptable, admissible, designed, intended; the object. منظورنظر manz̤ūr-i-naz̤ar, Chosen, agreeable to the sight, beloved; (subst.) A mistress, fa- vourite.

مسکنا masaknā H v. n. To be torn, split, rent, burst.

مفوح mufarriḥ A (part. act. II. of فرح Heb. ) 1. Exhilarating, amusing. 2. An exhilarating medicine, in which rubies are an ingredient.
