انعام inʼāﻌm A (inf. iv. of نعمت) s. m. Benefac- tion; a present, a gift, favour, benefit. (Plur. انعامات). انعام اکرام inʼāﻌm-i-ikrām, An honour- able gift. ¶ anʼāﻌm, s. plur. (of نعم) Gifts, fa- vours.

انعکاس inʼiﻌkās A (inf. vii. of عکس) s. m. The being inverted; inversion, reflection, representa- tion of appearances in a mirror.

بنات النعش banātu-n-naﻌsh A s. m. The constel- lation of the Greater or Lesser Bear, consisting of seven stars; four of which are conceived to bear the resemblance of a bier (نعش), and the remaining three to be the (بنات) daughters pre- ceding it.

تصنع taṣannuﻌ A (inf. v. of صنع) s. m. Making a show of art, pretending to an art, speciousness.

تنعيم tanʼīﻌm A (inf. ii. of نعم) s. m. 1. Bestowing abundance. 2. Saying نعم yes (in confirmation of a debt, &c.).

صانع ṣāniﻌ A part. act. (of صنع) Artificer, maker, creator.

صنع ṣanﻌ A s. Making, creation. ¶ ṣinﻌ, adj. Dexterous, clever.

صنعت ṣanʼﻌt A (from صنع) s. f. 1. Profession, trade, art, make, workmanship, manufacture, fabrication, work of art, machine, engine. 2. Mystery, miracle. صنعت گر ṣanʼaﻌt-gar, An ar- tist. صنعت گري ṣanʼaﻌt-gar-ī, s. f. Art, per- formance of miracles.

قانع ḳāniﻌ A (part. act. of قناعة) adj. Contented, satisfied.

مانع māniﻌ A (part. act. of منع Heb. ) s. m. 1. An obstacle, impediment. 2. A forbidder, preventer, hinderer. مانع هونا māniﻌ honā, To prevent, forbid, prohibit, hinder.

مانعيت māniʼīﻌyat A. (from مانع) s. f. Prohibi- tion, hinderance.

مصنع muṣannaﻌ A (part. pass. II. of صنع) adj. Factitious, artificial.

مقنع maḳnaﻌ A prop. miḳnaﻌ (noun of instr. from قنع) s. m. A veil of muslin or other cloth worn over the head and reaching almost to the ground. (Chiefly, applied to a brideʼs veil).

ممانعت mumānaʼaﻌt A (inf. III. of منع Heb. and Chald. ) s. f. Prohibition, hinderance.

ممتنع mumtanaﻌ A (part. pass. VIII. of منع Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Prohibited, for- bidden, impossible.
