سرناگت शरणागत saraṇ-āgat S A refugee, one who has come for protection or refuge.

سرناگتوتسل शरणागतवत्सल saraṇāgata- vatsal S Merciful to those come for sanctuary, an epithet of the deity.

ناگا nāgā नाग S̱. s. m. A cast of Hindū faḳīrs.

ناگاه nā-gāh P adv. Suddenly, unexpectedly, all at once, unawares, abruptly.

ناگاهي nā-gāh-ī P adj. Sudden.

ناگدون nāgdaun नागदमनी S̱. s. m. A kind of wood, by touching which it is said that fet- ters spontaneously fall off.

ناگر موتها nāgar-mothā नागरमुस्तक S̱. s. m. Name of a sweet smelling grass. (Cyperus pertenuis: Roxb.). (Cyperus juncifolius or rush-leaved cyperus: Qanoon-e-islam, gloss. p. lxxvi).

ناگر नागर nāgar S s. m. 1. Name of a tribe of Gujarāt-ī Brāhmaṇs. 2. (met.) A cunning or expert person.

ناگري nāgarī S̱. adj. The most common Hindī character of writing; called, also, Deva-nāgarī.

کناگت kanāgat कन्यागत S̱. s. f. A srāddha, or religious ceremony performed daily by Hin- dūs, during the dark half of the month Āsin, in honour of deceased ancestors, or pitr̤is. Hence that fortnight is called کنا.
