نقصان nuḳṣān A (from نقص) s. m. Loss, defect, deficiency, detriment, injury, damage, blemish, prejudice, mischief. A. H. نقصاني nuḳṣān-ī, adj. Detrimental, prejudi- cial (Harris).

نيري nere S̱. (निकट see نير niyar) adv. Beside, near.

نوني non-ī S̱. s. f. Efflorescence of salt on a wall.

نيچا nīchā S̱. (see نيچ) adj. Below, down, low. نيچا اونچا nīchā ūnchā, Up and down, uneven ground, abrupt. نيچي سرون سي بولنا nīche su- roṅ se bolnā, To sing with a low voice, or hum a tune. (Jocosè autem crepitus ventris hâcce voce subintelligitur).

نکار नकार nakār S (Arab. انکار inkār) s. m. Refusal, denial.

نازله nāzila A (part. act. fem. of نزل) s. m. A mis- fortune, disorder, calamity.

نتهارنا nithārnā H v. a. 1. To pour. 2. To pu- rify water or other liquid by letting the feculent matter subside, and pouring off the clear.
