ان سمجها an-samjhā S̱. (ان priv. and سمجها Under- stood) adj. Not understood, not knowing.

تمجيد tamjīd A (inf. ii. of مجد) s. f. The glorifi- cation of God; hence, the hymn or prayer that is pronounced from the minarets an hour and a half before dawn.

جهمجهمانا jhamjhamānā H v. n. To sparkle, shine, glitter.

سمجهوار samajh-wār S̱. adj. Prudent, wise, considerate.

سمجهوتي samjhautī S̱. s. f. Act of explaining, convincing or giving confidence.

سمجهہ samajh S̱. (perhaps, from सम् Together, and ऊत्द्य from r. ऊह Reason) s. f. Understanding, comprehension, knowledge, opinion, conception, thought, mind.

مجـﮩود majʼhūd A (part. pass. of جـﮩد) adj. Op- pressed with labour or vexation. (subst.) Care, trouble, endeavour, diligence.

مجـﮩول majʼhala A (from جـﮩل) s. m. Wrangling.

مجـﮩول majʼhūl A (part. pass. of جـﮩل) 1. Un- known, little known. 2. (subst.) Passive voice. 3. Applied to the letters و and ي when the former has the sound of o in bone, and the lat- ter that of a in name. 4. (In Hind.) Indolent, lazy, idle. مجـﮩول النسب majʼhūlu-n-nasab, adj. Unknown of lineage. مجـﮩول مطلق majʼhūl- i-mut̤laḳ, Very indolent or useless.

مجـﮩولي majhūl-ī A. s. f. Ignorance, indolence, laziness, idleness, apathy.

مجلا mujallā A (part. pass. II. of جلو Heb. ) adj. Polished, furbished, illustrated, manifested.
