السانا alsānā S̱. (from الس q.v.) v. n. To doze, to be drowsy, to slacken.

بلسان balasān A s. m. Balsam.

جلساٴي jal-sāʼī जलशायी S̱. (lit. sleeping on the water) adj. An epithet of Vish̤ṇu, when, after the destruction of the universe, he alone of all beings remains floating on the water, on a leaf of the baṛ or Ficus Indica, or on the great snake ananta.

جهلسانا jhulsānā S̱. (causal of جهلسنا) v. a. To cause to singe, to singe, sear, scorch.

لس لسانا las-lasā-nā S̱. v. n. To be clammy or glu- tinous, to agglutinate.

The tongue, language, idiom, dialect. لسان الثور li- sānu-s̤-s̤aur, Bugloss, borage. لسان الحمل lisānu- l-ḥamal, Plantain. لسان العصافير lisānu-l-aﻌṣāfīr, The seed of the ash-tree. لسان الکلب lisānu-l-kalb, The herb dogʼs tongue. لسانيت lassān-iyat A s. f. Eloquence.

هلسانا hulsānā S̱. (causal of هلسنا from उल्लास) v. a. To cheer, rejoice, delight, exhilarate, glad.

پلساٿ pilsāṭ S̱. (from پيلا pīlā, q. v.) s. f. Yellowness. P.A. پل سراط pul-sirāt̤, s. m. The bridge over which Musalmāns believe they must pass into paradise.
