اغلاق ig̠ẖlāḳ A (inf. iv. of غلق) s. m. 1. The being abstruse or difficult to be understood, ab- struseness. 2. An obstacle.

اغلال ag̠ẖlāl A s. plur. (of غل g̠ẖull) Yokes, chains.

غلاظت g̠ẖilāz̤at A (analog. to Heb. Thick darkness: from غلظ To be thick, coarse, &c.) s. f. 1. Thickness, spissitude, coarseness, hardness, roughness. 2. Roughness of manners. 3. (in Hindūstānī) Filth, dirtiness.

غلاف g̠ẖilāf A (from غلف Heb. To cover, to sheath) s. m. 1. A case, a cover, a sheath. 2. The prepuce.

غلاله g̠ẖilāla A (from غلّ To introduce one thing within another) s. m. An under waistcoat.

غلام g̠ẖulām A (Heb. from To be concealed) s. m. 1. A boy or youth (from birth till puberty; q. d. concealed in his fatherʼs house and not yet appearing in publick: Buxt.). 2. (from غلم g̠ẖalima, Coeundi cupidus fuit) A young man arrived at maturity. 3. (in Persian and Hindī) A slave. غلام پاره g̠ẖulām-pāra, Puerorum amoribus deditus. غلام گردش g̠ẖu- lām-gardish, s. m. A shed for servants to sit under. (Pers. plur. غلامان).

غلامي g̠ẖulām-ī A. s. f. Service, slavery.

غلبلا g̠ẖalbalā H s. m. (dakh.) Outcry, noise, sound.

غلبه g̠ẖalaba A s. m. Superiority, prevalence, conquest, overcoming, advantage, assault, strength. غلبه کرنا g̠ẖalaba karnā, To overpower, over- come, conquer.

غلط g̠ẖalat̤ A 1. adj. Wrong, erroneous. 2. s. Errour, mistake. غلط العام g̠ẖalat̤u-l-āﻌmm, A popular mistake, a vulgar errour. غلط فـﮩمي g̠ẖalat̤-fahm-ī, s. f. Mistake, misconception.

غلطان g̠ẖalt̤āṅ P part. act. (of غلطيدن orig. غلتيدن) Rolling, wallowing. غلطان پيچان g̠ẖal- t̤āṅ pechāṅ, Wallowing, rolling, floundering.
