تصدق taṣadduḳ A (inf. v. of صدق) s. m. 1. Giving alms (particularly, with a religious view). 2. Alms. 3. Sacrificing, sacrifice, devoting. (Plur. تصدقات). تصدق کرنا taṣadduḳ karnā, To de- vote, to sacrifice.

تصديع taṣdīﻌ A (inf. ii. of صدع) s. f. 1. The headach. 2. Affliction, trouble, annoyance, vexation, toil, perplexity. (Plur. تصديعات). تصديع دينا taṣdīﻌ denā, To incommode, trouble, vex, tease, harass, distress, pester, plague, annoy. تصديع کرنا taṣdīﻌ karnā, To take the trouble.

تصديق taṣdīk A (inf. ii. of صدق) s. f. Verifying, attesting, verification, acknowledging as true, attestation, appeal. تصديق بلاتصور taṣdīḳ-i-bilā taṣauwur, Presupposition.

صدف ṣadaf A s. f. A shell, a pearl, mother of pearl.

صدق ṣidḳ A (Heb. ) s. m. Truth, veracity, sincerity, candour.

صدقه ṣadḳa A (prop. ṣadaḳa, Heb. ) s. m. 1. Alms. 2. Propitiatory offerings, sacrifice. صدقي جانا يا هونا ṣadḳe-jānā or -honā, To become a sa- crifice for the welfare, &c. of another. صدقي کرنا ṣadḳe karnā, To sacrifice for the welfare, &c. of another.

صدمه ṣadma A (from صدم To impinge, to dash) s. m. A blow, a stroke of fortune, shock, adversity, accident, calamity, collision, an adventure.

صدور ṣudūr A s. plur. of صدر ṣadr, q. v.

صديق ṣadīḳ A adj. Just, true; a sincere friend.

قاصدي ḳaṣid-ī A. s. (dakh.) Travelling or going as courier or messenger.

متصدي mutaṣaddī A (part. act. V. of صدي Heb. ) s. m. 1. An accountant, a writer, a clerk. 2. Turning away the face, opposing. 3. At- tempting, daring, intent on. متصدي گري mu- taṣaddi-garī, s. f. Office of clerk.
