شوال shauwāl A s. m. The tenth month of the Muhammadan year; on the first day of which the festival of Bairām, or īﻌd is celebrated, being the first day after the musalmān Lent; and, on this day it is customary to make presents, &c.

شوالا shiwālā S̱. s. m. A temple of Shiva or Ma- hādeva. See سوالا siwālā.

شوايب shawāʼịb A s. m. plur. (of شايبة) Impure things, impurities.

پيشواٴي peshwā-ī P s. f. The meeting and conducting a guest or visitor, the duty of chief priest, guidance, supremacy.
