شحنه shaḥna A (or shiḥna, from شحن To drive away, to propel) s. m. 1. A viceroy, lieutenant, representative, superintendent of police. 2. A peon, or servant of a tax-gatherer.

شہوار shah-wār P adj. Worthy of a king, princely; s. m. A matchless pearl.

شاه آلو shāh-ālū P s. m. A cherry.

شفيعا shafīʼāﻌ A. s. m. A kind of Persian charac- ter or handwriting.

شوريده shorīda P part. pass. (of شوريدن) 1. Dis- turbed, mad, desperately in love. 2. Faint, dejected. شوريده حال shorīda-ḥāl, adj. Mad, &c. شوريده خاطر shorīda-ḵẖāt̤ir, adj. Dejected, melancholy.

شاملات shāmilāt A (plur. of شامل q. v.) The concerns that comprise (all parts); partnership.
