آتشستان ātash-istān P s. f. The region of fire, a place where fire abounds; (hence the word is applied to) a hot fire of cannon or small arms in battle; a large fire, a funeral pile.

شست shast P s. f. 1. Aim. 2. A large fishing hook (not used in angling with the hand, but left attached to a strong line which is fastened to the shore). 3. The handle of a bow. 4. A thumbstal (used to defend the thumb in pulling the string of a bow). شست باندهنا shast bāndh- nā, To aim. شست جسته shast-justa, Shot from the bow (an arrow).

شستر शस्त्र shastr S s. m. A weapon (in general, or especially such as is used in the hand). شستردهاري शस्त्रधारी shastra-dhārī, adj. Armed,

شسترسالا शस्त्रशाला shastra-sāla S s. f. Place or magazine of arms.

شسته shusta P (part. pass. of شستن) adj. 1. Washed. 2. Dressed, prepared. شسته گفتگو shusta guft-gū, Pure language.

نشست nishast P (from نشستن) s. f. Sitting. نشست برخاست nishast-barḵẖāst, s. f. Man- ners, good breeding, etiquette, politeness. نشست گاه nishast-gāh, s. f. A place where people meet to sit and talk, sitting-room.
