اشرفي ashrafī P s. f. A gold coin so called. (The Calcutta ashrafī is worth ₤1. 11s. 8d. and the gold of it is better than English standard gold by five shillings in the ounce, or about 1/16. By the regulations of May 1793, it should weigh 190.894 grains troy).
