ارسال irsāl A (inf. iv. of رسل) s. m. Act of sending (especially, a writing, letter, &c.), mission, remittance.

برسام bar-sām P (بر Breast, and سام Swelling) s. m. The pleurisy or an inflammation of the diaphragm.

برسانا barsānā S̱. (causal of برسنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to rain, to shower down.

ترسان tarsān P (part. act. of ترسيدن) adj. Fear- ful, timid.

ترسانا tarsānā S̱. (caus. of ترسنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to long, set agog, to tantalize, to tease.

جرسام jirsām A s. m. The pleurisy.

دهرسانجهـ dhur-sānjh S̱. s. f. Dusk, twilight.

رسالت risālat A (from رسل) s. f. Mission, divine mission. رسالت پناه risālat-panāh, Asylum of prophecy, i. e. Muḥammad.

رساله risāla A s. m. 1. Mission, sending a letter, &c. 2. A book, a treatise, an essay, a small tract. 3. A troop of horse. رساله دار risāla-dār, The commander of a troop of horse. رساله داري risāla-dār-ī, s. f. The command of a troop of horse.

رسام rassām A (adj. superl. of رسم) s. m. A de- lineator.

رسان rasān P part. (act. of رسانيدن or pres. of رسيدن) in compos. Causing to arrive, arriving.

رسانا rasānā H v. a. To solder.

رسانا risānā S̱. (r. रुष Be angry) v. n. To be dis- pleased, to be angry, to be vexed.

رساول rasāwal S̱. (from रस) s. m. A kind of dish (rice and the juice of sugar-cane boiled together).

رساين rasāyan H s. m. Slowness, mildness.
