ادهرم अधर्म्म a-dharm S s. m. Injustice, irre- ligion, impiety, immorality, sin, crime. adj. Un- just, impious. ادهرمپنا adharma-panā, s. m. In- justice, crime.

ادهرمي अधर्मी a-dharm-ī S adj. Unjust, sin- ful, criminal, immoral, impious.

دهرم धर्म dharam S or dharm, s. m. 1. Justice, virtue, religion. 2. Usage, practice, the cus- tomary observances of cast, sect, &c. 3. Duty, especially that enjoined by the Vedas. دهرم باپ dharm-bāp, An adopted father, a godfather. دهرم بيٿا dharm-beṭā, Adopted son. دهرم دهاري धर्मधारी dharm-dhārī, A maintainer of justice. دهرم راج dharm-rāj, s. m. 1. धर्मराज Justking; Yama or Pluto. 2. (for धर्मराज्य) A king- dom where justice is administered. دهرم راج کرنا dharm-rāj karnā, To govern justly. دهرم سالا (धर्मशाला) dharam- or dharm-sālā, s. m. A place where alms are distributed.

دهرمات dharmāt S̱. (धर्मात्मा) adj. Vir- tuous, just, holy, pious.

دهرماوتار धर्मावतार dharmāvatār S or dhar- mautār, s. m. Incarnation of Dharma, god of justice; used as a term of respect.

دهرمشٿ dharmish̤ṭa धर्मिष्ठ S̱. adj. Virtuous, inclined to the performance of duty.

دهرمي धर्मी dharm-ī S adj. Virtuous, just.

دهرن dharan S̱. s. f. 1. (धरण) A beam. 2. Accent, tone. 3. The navel (or rather the um- bilical vein, perhaps the aorta or cœliack artery, as it is said to pulsate) which is supposed by the Hindū physicians to be occasionally re- moved from its place, and thus to occasion various morbid symptoms. This is called دهرن ڐگني dharan-ḍignī or ناف ٿلنا يا اکهڙنا nāf- ṭalnā or -ukhaṛnā, and the cure is attempted by friction of the belly. 4. See دهرنا dharnā.

دهرنا dharnā S̱. (धरण r. धृ Hold, bear) v. a. 1. To place, put down, lay, assume, put on, apply. 2. To give in charge. 3. To seize, catch, lay hold of, hold, keep. دهرنادينا يا بيٿهنا dharnā- denā or -baiṭhnā, A mode of extorting payment of a debt or compliance with any demand. See Asiat. Res. Vol. 4. Art. 22.

دهرني धरणी dharṇī S s. f. The earth. دهرني دهر धरणीधर dharṇī-dhar, s. m. 1. A moun- tain. 2. n. prop. Name of Shesh̤-nāg, a ser- pent, who upholds the earth: and of Vish̤ṇu in the form of a tortoise and of a boar.

دهرنيت dharnet H (from دهرنا) s. m. A dun.

دهرو dhrū ध्रुव S̱. s. m. The pole (of the earth), the polar star.

دهروانا dharwānā S̱. (caus. of دهرنا) v. a. To cause to place, &c.

دهروت dharot S̱. s. f. (dakh.) 1. See عوض iﻌwaẓ. 2. See امانت amānat, Deposite, &c.
