آدهار ādhār S̱. (आहार Food, or for आधार Support) s. m. Food, aliment, victuals, nourishment, support.

آدهار आधार आ and r. धृ Hold ā-dhār S. s. m. A patron, supporter, one on whom de- pendance is placed for assistance.

آدهاري ādhār-i S̱. (in compos.) An eater; as, دوده آدهاري dūdh-ādhārī, One who lives on milk. ماس آدهاري mās-ādhārī, Flesh-eater, carnivorous.

ادهار adhār S̱. (आहार Food, or for आधार Support) s. m. Food, aliment, victuals, nourishment, support.

ادهار उद्धार उद् and r. धृ Hold udhār S. or ud-dhār, s. m. Debt (especially not bearing interest), deduction, discharge, deliverance, sal- vation, raising up from any place or state.

تدهارا tidhārā त्रिधार S̱. s. m. 1. The name of a plant. (Euphorbia antiquorum). 2. The meeting of three streams.

جلدهارا जलधारा jala-dhārā S s. f. A stream or current of water.

ددهار dudhār S̱. (from دودهـ) adj. Giving milk, milch.

دهار dhār S̱. (धारा r. धृ Hold) s. f. 1. A line, lineament. 2. Stream, current. 3. Edge (of a sword, &c.). 4. Sharpness. دهارمارنا dhār mārnā, or دهارپرمارنا dhār par mārnā, To contemn, to despise.

دهار duhār दोहकार S̱. s. m. A milker.

دهارا धारा dhārā S s. f. A stream, a current. S. دهارن धारण (r. धृ Hold, bear) dhāraṇ, ver- bal n. s. Holding, bearing, sustaining, upholding, assuming, keeping. See دهارنا dhārnā.

دهارنا dhārnā S̱. v. a. 1. (धारण r. धृ Hold, bear) To hold, to bear, to have, to keep, to place, to owe, to sustain, to support, to uphold. 2. (from دهار or धारा) To pour (water).

دهاري dhārī S̱. (from धारा) s. f. 1. A line, li- neament. 2. A small buttress. دهاري دار dhārī-dār, adj. Lined, striped, streaked. 3. (Sans. धातकी) Name of a plant used in dying. (Lythrum fruticosum: Linn. Grislea tomentosa: Roxb. Pl. Cor.). 4. (from धृ Hold, bear) used in compos. Bearing, holding, having, wearing.
