اشخاص ashḵẖāṣ A s. plur. (of شخص) Persons.

خاص ḵẖāṣṣ A (vulg. ḵẖāṣ, from خصّ Heb. To cut, to divide, to appropriate) adj. 1. Ex- cellent, noble, pure, unmixed. 2. Particular, private, what is kept for the kingʼs (or the mas- terʼs) private use, own, proper, peculiar, single, gentle. 3. adv. Especially, peculiarly. خاص بردار ḵẖāṣṣ-bardār, s. m. A servant who, in a great manʼs retinue, carries a firelock. خاص خواص ḵẖāṣṣ-ḵẖaẉāṣṣ, A royal female servant. خاصدان ḵẖāṣṣ-dān, A kind of canteen to carry water-vessels in. خاص محل ḵẖāṣṣ-maḥal, s. m. Private apartment, the apartments of married women (in opposition to ḵẖụrd-maḥal); met. First married wife. خاص وعام ḵẖāṣṣ o āﻌmm, Noble and plebeian.

خاصا ḵẖāṣṣā A. See خاصه ḵẖāṣṣa. A. H. خاصا پنا ḵẖāṣā-panā, s. m. (dakh.) The being a peculiar servant (of a king, &c.): see خاصگي ḵẖāṣṣa-gī. A. P. خاصگي ḵẖāṣṣa-gī (from خاصه) s. f. Excel- lence, nobility.

خاصه ḵẖāṣṣa A 1. adj. Excellent, pure, noble, elegant, good, charming, delightful, pretty, nice, fine, virtuous. 2. s. m. Dinner. 3. A kind of cloth. 4. A confidential servant.

خاصي ḵẖāṣṣ-ī A. adj. f. Excellent, noble.

خاصيت ḵẖāṣṣiyat A s. f. Quality, innate pro- perty, peculiarity, attribute, natural disposition.

مخاصمت muḵẖāṣamat A (inf. III. of خصم) s. f. Altercation, quarrelling, contention.
