جهڙن jhaṛan H (from جهڙنا) s. f. 1. The act of falling off (as, of fruit from the tree). 2. Snuff. 3. verb. n. of جهڙنا jhaṛnā, q. v.

جهڙنا jhaṛnā H v. n. To fall off (as, fruit from the tree), to be swept off, to shed, to emit, to drop, to fall, to pour, to shake, to strain, to be sound- ed (the نوبت), to be discharged (a volley).

جهڙوانا jhaṛwānā H (caus. of جهاڙنا) v. a. To cause others to sweep.

جهڙوتا jhaṛotā H s. m. The end of the season (of fruit, &c.), going out of season.

جهڙي jhaṛī H s. f. 1. Continued rain, showers, storm, wet weather. 2. Perquisites.

جهڙپ jhaṛap H s. f. Heat, fieriness (as, of pep- per), acrimony, sparring, contention.

جهڙپا جهڙپي jhaṛpā-jhaṛpī H s. f. Fighting (par- ticularly, of birds), sparring, contention.

جهڙپانا jhaṛpānā H (trans. of جهڙپنا) v. a. To fight (cocks or other birds), to make to spar or contend.

جهڙپنا jhaṛap-nā H v. n. To spar, to fight (as, cocks, &c.), to contend.

لجهڙي lijhṛī H s. f. Afterbirth, placenta.

پهلجهڙي phuljhaṛī S̱. s. f. A kind of firework like a fountain.

گلجهڙي guljhaṛī S̱. (from गोल Ball, and r. झट Form into a mass) s. f. Conglomeration, knot. گل جهڙي دلکي guljhaṛī dil kī, Grief, displea- sure, mental uneasiness.
