ابتب ab-tab S̱. adv. Presently. اب تب هونا ab-tab-honā, To be at the point of death.

اتبیل atibel S̱. (अतिवेल from जति and वेला Limit) adv. or adj. Much, excessive, frequently.

ارتباط irtibāt̤ A (inf. viii. of ربط) s. m. Connexion, friendship, familiarity.

استبداد istibdād A (inf. x. of بدّ) s. m. Absolute dominion, despotism, insisting upon a thingʼs being done.

استبرا istibrā A (inf. x. of برأ) s. m. 1. Cleansing, washing oneʼs hands of a business or desiring to be freed from it. 2. The waiting of a woman after being divorced from her husband, to as certain whether she is pregnant or not, before she can contract another marriage. (The term is three months, according to the Muhammadan law).

استبرق istabraḳ A s. m. Silk cloth or satin, the colour of which seems to change agreeably to the light it is seen in (particularly, green silk).

استبیست अस्तव्यस्त astabyast S or asta-vyasta, adj. Confused, dispersed, scattered, helter skel- ter, in confusion.

اشتباه ishtibāh A (inf. viii. of شبه) s. m. Doubt, ambiguity, scruple.

اشتباهي ishtibāh-ī A adj. Suspicious, doubtful.

اعتبار iﻌtibār A (inf. viii. of عبر Heb. and Ch. He passed over) s. m. 1. Confidence, trust, faith, belief, credit, reliance, respect, esteem. 2. Taking as an example, reasoning by compa- rison. اعتبار رکهنا iﻌtibār rakhnā, To give credit to, to believe, to trust.

اعتباري iﻌtibār-ī A adj. Of credit, creditable, trust-worthy; a confidant.

اقتباس iḳtibās A (inf. viii. of قبس) s. m. Bor- rowing (fire from another); acquiring, procuring, gaining, asking, begging, quotation.

برهسپتبار brihaspatibār S (वृहस्पतिवार) s. m. Thursday.

تب tab S̱. adv. 1. (तदा) Then, at that time, so soon. 2. (ततः) Afterwards. تب تک tab tak, Till then. تب توڙي ياتئين يالگ tab- toṛī or -taʼīṅ or -lag, adv. Till then, so long.
