آفتابه āftāba P s. m. An ewer.

آفتابي āftāb-ī P 1. adj. Of the sun, solar, faded by the sun, yellow. 2. s. f. A parasol of a par- ticular form, a target studded with gold.

تابناک tāb-nāk P adj. 1. Hot. 2. Passionate. 3. Brilliant, bright, shining, glowing.

تابنده tābanda P (from تافتن) part. Shining.

تابندگي tābanda-gī P s. f. Splendour, brightness.

تابه tāba P s. m. A fryingpan, a skillet. S. تاپ ताप (r. तप Burn) tāp, 1. s. m. Warmth, heat. 2. s. f. Fever. تاپ تلي tāp-tillī, s. f. See تاب تلي under تاب tāb.

تابوت tābūt A s. m. f. 1. A coffin, a bier. 2. The ark of the covenant, presented by God to Adam, and which (according to Muhammadans) contained the portraits of all the prophets. تابوت گر tābūt-gar, Coffinmaker, undertaker.

سرتابي sar-tāb-ī P (سر Head, and تاب part. act. of تافتن) s. f. Disobedience, rebellion.

شتابي shitāb-ī P adv. Quickly, hastily. s. f. Quickness, haste, expedition, despatch.

ماهتابي māhtāb-ī P 1. s. f. A kind of firework, blue-light. 2. A sort of muskmelon. 3. (dakh.) Cloth on which are pasted devices of the hea- venly bodies in gold or silver. (Qanoon-e-islam).

مـﮩتابي mahtāb-ī P 1. adj. Belonging to the moon, like the moon, of moonshine. 2. s. f. A kind of fireworks. 3. An open high terrace. 4. (dakh.) Brocade (Harris).

پاتابه pā-tāba P s. m. A sock.
