آچار आचार āchār S (improp. achār) s. m. Established rule of conduct, custom, practice, institute, religious observance.

آچاري आचारी āchārī S adj. Practising (what is good), strict in the observance of reli- gious ceremonies.

اناچار अनाचार an-āchār S s. m. Improper conduct, neglect of moral or religious observ- ance.

باچا bāchā S (for वाचा vāchā, r. वच Speak) s. f. 1. Speech, language, word. 2. Affirma- tion, agreement, promise.

بهٿاچارج bhaṭṭāchārj भट्टाचार्य S̱. s. m. The most learned of the learned.

دراچاري दुराचारी dur-āchārī S adj. Irre- ligious, wicked, profligate.

سماچار समाचार samāchār S s. m. News, tidings, information, intelligence, advice, ac- count of circumstances or health, &c.

شنکراچارج shankarāchārj शंकराचार्य्य S̱. n. prop. Name of a Hindū faḳīr, celebrated for having eradicated the sect of jain.

لوکاچاري lok-āchār-ī लोकाचार S̱. s. (dakh. i. q. لوگ لاج) Custom of a people, the honour or credit of a people. S. لوکالوک लोकालोक (लोक Seeing, and अलोक not seeing; causing light and darkness, as interposing between the dwīpas and the sun) lokālok, s. m. A mountainous belt sur- rounding the outermost of the seven seas and bounding the world.
