جوا jūʼā S̱. s. m. 1. (युग) A yoke. 2. (युग or द्यूत) Dice, gaming, playing with dice, &c. gambling. جوا کهيلنا jūʼā khelnā, To gamble. جوٴي خانه jūʼe-ḵẖāna, A gaming-house.

جانا jānā S̱. (r. या Go, attain) v. n. To go, to be, to pass, to reach, to continue. جاتا رهنا jātā rahnā, To be lost, to be missing, to disappear, vanish, to go away, to pass away.

جنمي جي janmejai जन्मेजय S̱. n. prop. The son and successor of Rājā Pariksh̤it.

جمکنا jamaknā H v. n. To succeed, to go on well, to fit, to be assembled. دوکان جمکي dūkān jamkī, Buyers and sellers are collected in the shop. لڙاٴي جمکي laṛāʼī jamkī, The fight was joined. مجلس جمکي majlis jamkī, The assem- bly is full. مقدمه جمکا muḳaddama jamkā, The cause is begun to be debated.

جايداد jāʼe-dād P s. f. An assignment on land (for the maintenance of an establishment or per- son).
