جهولنا jhūlnā दोलन S̱. 1. v. n. To swing (for exercise). 2. To swing, to dangle, to hang, to oscillate. 3. s. m. A kind of poem.

جهٿکا jhaṭkā H (from جهٿکنا) 1. part. Slaughtered by cutting off the head (in the Hindū way), bro- ken asunder or torn by a sudden jerk, torn to pieces. 2. s. m. A shake, a pull, a twitch. جهٿکا کرنا jhaṭkā karnā, v. a. (dakh.) 1. To steal, filch. 2. (i. q. جلدي کرنا) To make haste, to be precipitate.

جبراعل jabrāʼiﻌl A (Heb. ) The archangel Gabriel.

جفت juft P s. m. Evenness, party, a pair, a couple, a match.

جلاد jallād A s. m. An executioner; (and, hence) cruel, hard-hearted (q. d. one who skins or flays, from جلد The skin). جلاد فلک jallād-i-falak, The planet Mars.

جبلت jibillat A s. f. Essence, quality, disposi- tion, temperament, constitution, creation, form.
