جراح jarrāḥ A (from جرح) s. m. A surgeon.

جهرجهر jhir-jhir झर्झर S̱. adj. Running in a slender stream (water, &c.).

جهونک jhonk H s. f. 1. A shove or push in swinging. 2. The impulse of a squall or sudden blast of wind. جهونک دينا jhonk denā, 1. To set fire to (particularly, straw, &c.). 2. To throw dust, &c. 3. To throw away (the lives of men uselessly). جهونک کهانا jhonk khānā, To roll.

جاٿهـ jāṭh यष्टि S̱. s. m. 1. The axis or roller of an oil or sugar-mill which presses the grain or the canes. 2. A post placed by Hindūs in the centre of a tank to mark its being dedicated to the deity.

جاڙا jāṛā जड S̱. s. m. 1. Cold, coldness. 2. The winter.

جهنجهلانا jhunjhlānā H v. n. To be peevish or fret- ful, to be petulant or irritable, to rage, to storm.

جهڙن jhaṛan H (from جهڙنا) s. f. 1. The act of falling off (as, of fruit from the tree). 2. Snuff. 3. verb. n. of جهڙنا jhaṛnā, q. v.

جاني انجاني jāne an-jāne S̱. Wittingly or unwit- tingly.

جا जा jā H (in Braj) pron. rel. inflect. sing. Whom, what, which, any one.

جامونت jāmwant जाम्बुवत् S̱. s. m. A fabulous bear, father-in-law to Kr̤ish̤ṇa.
