جاگتي جوت jāgtī-jot जायत्ज्योतिः S̱. adj. Possessed of or exerting miraculous power. S. جاگرن जागरण (r. जागृ Wake) jāgaraṇ, s. m. Vigil, waking, wakefulness (in a religious ceremony or prayer), vespers.

جتا jitā H or jittā, adj. See جتنا jitnā.

جرم jirm A s. m. 1. The body of any thing ina- nimate. 2. A globe. (Plur. اجرام ajrām). جرم قمر jirm-i-ḳamar, The body of the moon.

جشني jashn-ī P (from جشن) adj. Voluptuous.

جمکنا jamaknā H v. n. To succeed, to go on well, to fit, to be assembled. دوکان جمکي dūkān jamkī, Buyers and sellers are collected in the shop. لڙاٴي جمکي laṛāʼī jamkī, The fight was joined. مجلس جمکي majlis jamkī, The assem- bly is full. مقدمه جمکا muḳaddama jamkā, The cause is begun to be debated.

جامد jāmid A adj. Styptick. اسم جامد ism-i-jā- mid, Primitive or concrete noun (not derived from any root, and from which no word is de- rived; as, tree).

جننا jannā S̱. (जनन r. जन Produce) v. n. To produce young, to be delivered (of a child), to be born.
