اهنکار अहंकार अहम् I, and कार What makes ahankār S. s. m. Pride, arrogance, haughtiness, conceit, egotism. S. اهنکاري अंहकारी (from اهنکار q. v.) ahankārī, adj. Haughty, arrogant, proud.

آجیوکا आजीविका ā-jīvikā S s. f. Means of supporting life, livelihood, subsistence.

ايفا īfā A (inf. iv. of وفا) s. f. Performing (a promise, &c.), performance, paying, satisfying, fulfilling.

اڙهیا aṛhaiyā आर्द्धद्वय S̱. s. m. A weight of two and a half sers, a measure containing two and a half sers.

اپرس aparas S̱. (अ and स्पर्श Touch) s. m. 1. The state of a Hindū after bathing, previous to worship or to eating, during which it is unlawful for him to touch any one. 2. (for the Arabic ابرص) Leprosy.

ارشد arshad A adj. compar. (of رشید) Most up- right, most tenacious of the right way; a person who explains orders, commands, &c. (especially, of the deity).
