تيجا tījā तृतीया S̱. s. m. The third day after the death of a relation, on which oblations are offered. (Used among Musalmāns).

تکسير taksīr A (inf. ii. of کسر) s. f. 1. Breaking to pieces. 2. Carrying (figures, in arithmetick). 3. Dividing so as to produce a fraction.

تملق tamalluḳ A (inf. v. of ملق) s. m. Cajoling, caressing, flattery, dalliance, adulation, cere- mony. تملق کرنا tamalluḳ karnā, To cajole, flatter, caress.

تراس tirās S̱. or trās, 1. (तृषा r. तृष Thirst) s. f. Thirst. تراس آنا يا لگنا tirās-ānā or -lagnā, To be thirsty. 2. trās (त्रास r. त्रस Fear) s. m. Fear, alarm, terrour.

تحت taḥt A s. m. 1. The inferiour part, be- low, under. 2. Subjection, possession. تحت الثرا taḥtu-s̤-s̤arā or تحت الثري taḥtu-s̤-s̤arạ̄, s. m. Under the earth. تحت الشعاع taḥtu-sh-shuʼāﻌﻌ, s. m. Change of the moon, conjunction with the sun. تحت تصرف taḥt-i-taṣarruf or تحت فرمان taḥt-i-farmān, s. m. Subjection, dominion. تحت لفظي taḥt-lafz̤ī, adj. Literal. adv. Ver- bally, literal translation, interlinear translation. تحت مين لانا taḥt meṅ lānā, To conquer, sub- jugate, bring under, reduce.

تقشف taḳashshuf A (inf. v. of قشف) s. The being clothed in poor garments and subsisting on scanty food.

تسوت tisūt H (perhaps نسوت nisūt) s. Name of a medicine. See تربد turbad.

تقويٰٰ taḳwạ̄ A s. m. Piety, abstinence, the fear of God. اهل تقويٰٰ ahl-i-taḳwạ̄, Pious.

ترشه tursha P s. Wild sorrel.

تقطير taḳt̤īr A (inf. ii. of قطر) s. f. Distilling, drop- ping (particles of urine), strangury.
