تاب tāb P s. f. 1. Heat. (Sans. ताप). 2. Light, splendour. 3. Power, endurance, brooking. 4. Rage, fury. 5. Twisting, contortion. 6. part. in compos. (of تافتن) Burning, inflaming, illuminating, turning, twisting. تاب تلي tāb-tillī, s. f. An induration of the spleen at- tended with, or preceded by fever; splenitis, ague-cake. تاب دار tāb-dār, adj. 1. Bright, luminous. 2. Twisted. تاب دينا tāb denā, To twist. تاب کهانا tāb khānā, To be twisted. تاب لانا tāb lānā, To be able to bear.

ترمرا tirmirā H s. m. 1. A spot of oil, &c. swimming on water. 2. An ocular spectrum, or spark appearing before the eye from the internal state of that organ.

تنگناٴي tang-nāʼī P s. f. A strait place or passage, a strait.

تقويت taḳwiyat A (inf. ii. of قوي) s. f. Corro- boration, strengthening, establishing, confirming, confidence, strength, assurance, invigora- tion, support, comfort, reliance, trust, aid.

تشين tashaiyun A (inf. v. of شان) s. m. Display ing of state, dignity, ostentation.

تکفير takfīr A (inf. ii. of کفر or کفاره) s. f. 1. Co- vering. 2. Expiating a crime, doing penance or paying a mulct as atonement. 3. Humbling oneʼs self before another (putting the hand upon the breast, and inclining the head), showing distant respect. 4. Accusing one of impiety, calling him infidel, making one an unbeliever. 5. Guiltiness.

تعاون taʼāﻌwun A (inf. vi. of عون) s. m. Assist- ance, conspiring.

تعطل taʼaﻌt̤t̤ul A (inf. v. of عطل Heb. Was idle, slothful) s. m. 1. Idleness. 2. Having no bracelets or other ornaments.

تهيوا thewā H s. m. A stone set in a ring.

تکاهل takāhul A (inf. vi. of کـﮩل) s. m. Negli- gence, remissness.
