اپورب a-pūrb S (for अपूर्व comp. of अ and पूर्व Preceding) adj. New, unheard of, ad- mirable, uncommon, remarkable, unparalleled.

ارقام irḳām A (inf. iv. of رقم Heb. He marked or punctured) s. m. Act of writing. ارقام کرنا irḳām karnā, To write. ارقام هونا irḳām honā, To be written.

اهالي ahālī A s. plur. (of اهل) People, posses- sors, consorts, inhabitants, citizens.

اتهوا अथ Now, &c. and वा Or atha-vā S. conj. Or. S. اتي इति (r. इ Go) itī, a particle implying Cause, manifestation, reference, something ad- ditional, conclusion: and may be translated by Thus therefore, lo, behold, et cetera, so says, finis, the end; in which latter sense it is usually written like زیاده چه in Persian and تم in Arabic, at the end of a book, letter, &c.

انهت an-hit S̱. 1. adj. Without affection, un- kind, unfriendly; an enemy. 2. s. m. Enmity, disaffection.

اظہار iz̤ʼhār A (inf. iv. of ظہور) s. m. Manifesta- tion, revelation, disclosure, demonstration, pub- lication, display, declaration. اظہار کرنا iz̤hār karnā, To disclose, reveal, notify, propose.

اسیر asīr A s. m. A prisoner, a captive. اسیر آب و گل asīr-i-āb o gil, Attached to oneʼs native land.
