تلبيس talbīs A (inf. ii. of لبس) s. f. 1. Cheat, fraud, fallacy, imposture. 2. Mixture, confu- sion. 3. Misrepresentation. 4. Concealing (the truth, the faults of goods on sale). 5. Failing in proving oneʼs allegations. 6. A knave. 7. Covering.

تثنيه tas̤niya A (inf. ii. of ثني) s. m. used adjec- tively, The dual (number).

تپنا tapnā तपन S̱. v. n. 1. To be glorified. 2. To glow, to be heated, to frisk about.

تاج خروس tāj-i-ḵẖaros P s. m. The comb of a cock; the cockscomb flower (Amaranthus, or Celosia).

تر tar P adj. 1. Moist, damp, wet, fresh, green, young, juicy. تربندي tar-baṇd-ī, s. f. The ap- plication of a wet bandage to a wound. 2. A particle, which, added to Persian adjectives, and in some few instances to Arabic, forms the com-
