تيتر tītar तित्तिरि S̱. s. m. A partridge. (Per- dix francolinus). تيترکي منـﮩـ لچهمي tītar ke muṅh lachhmī, (lit. Good fortune proceeds from the mouth of the partridge, which is a small bird, of little estimation) A saying used when a person of mean understanding is chosen to de- cide in matters of which he is incompetent to judge.

توٿنا tūṭnā S̱. v. n. (dakh.) 1. See ٿوٿنا ṭūṭnā. 2. To be helpless or destitute.

ترکاري tarkārī H s. f. Esculent vegetables.

تگنا tagnā H (from تاگا) v. a. To quilt, to stitch together.

تحميل taḥmīl A (inf. ii. of حمل) s. f. 1. Burthening, imposing a load on. 2. Importuning, asking more than oneʼs right.

تلف talaf A s. m. 1. Ruin, destruction, loss. 2. Prodigality, consumption, expense. تلف المال خلف العمر talafu-l-māl ḵẖalafu-l-uﻌmr, The loss of riches is the prolongation of life. تلف کرنا talaf karnā, To ruin, to waste, consume, des- troy. تلف هونا talaf honā, To be unfortunate, to meet with a loss, to be destroyed.

تپانا tapānā S̱. (तापन or caus. of تپنا) v. a. To heat, warm, make glow, make another person warm himself at the fire or in the sun.

تک تک tik-tik H A sound used in driving a cart.

ترياک tiryāk P s. m. See ترياق tiryāḳ.

تواوا tuwāwā H s. m. The name of a bird.
