تابوت tābūt A s. m. f. 1. A coffin, a bier. 2. The ark of the covenant, presented by God to Adam, and which (according to Muhammadans) contained the portraits of all the prophets. تابوت گر tābūt-gar, Coffinmaker, undertaker.

تاه tāh P s. f. A plait, fold, ply, multiplicity, per- plexity.

تهور thor H adj. A little, small, scarce, few, scanty, seldom, some, less. تهوڙابـﮩت thoṛā bahut, adj. More or less. تهوڙاتهوڙا thoṛā thoṛā, A little, by degrees. تهوڙاتهوڙا هونا thoṛā thoṛā honā, To be ashamed, to shrink with shame. تهوڙي سي تهوڙا thoṛe se thoṛā, adj. Very little.

تبدل tabbaddul A s.m. (inf. v. of بدل) Change, altera- tion, difference, transposition. تبديل کرنا tabdīl karnā, To change, to alter. تبديل مکان tabdīl i-makān, Migration.

تو tau S̱. or to (तदा) adv. Then, that time, in that case, moreover, that, also, for, yes, well. توبهي tau bhī or to bhī, adv. Even then; still, yet, nevertheless. تولون يا تولگ tau loṅ or tau lag, adv. Then, in that case, till then, so long.

ترک tark A s. m. Abandoning, abandonment, omission, leaving, deserting, abdication. ترک ادب tark-i-adab, Disrespect. ترک کرنا tark karnā, To abandon, leave, forsake, leave off, quit, omit, cease, desert, resign.

تحتاني taḥtānī A adj. Inferiour, lower.

تدبير tadbīr A (inf. ii. of دبر) s. f. 1. Deliberation, counsel, contrivance, expedient, opinion, advice. 2. Government, regulation, arrangement, order, management, policy, prudence. (Plur. تدبيرات tadbīrāt). تدبيرسلطنت tadbīr-i-salt̤anat, s. f. Politicks. تدبيرغذا tadbīr-i-g̠ẖiẕā, s. f. Regimen of diet.

توريت taurīt A. or tauret (Arab. توراة Heb. ) s. f. The pentateuch, the old testament.

تريڙا tareṛā H s. m. The falling of water from a spout, or from any height.
