تپا tapā तपस्वी S̱. s. m. A worshipper, an as- cetick, a devotee.

تحکم taḥakkum A (inf. v. of حکم) s. m. 1. Com- manding, ruling, dominion, power, authority. 2. Usurping authority. تحکم کرنا taḥakkum karnā, To command, rule, &c.

ترني tarnī S̱. (तरणि r. तृ Cross, pass over a river, &c.) s. f. A ship, a vessel, a boat.

تلي tale S̱. (तल Bottom) adv. Below, down, beneath, under. تلي اوپر tale-ūpar, adj. 1. Upside down. 2. Confused. تلي تلي ديکهنا tale tale dekhnā, To see clandestinely. تلي کي زمين اوپرهوني tale kī zamīn ūpar honī, is used to express great disturbance and confusion.

تسليم taslīm A (inf. ii. of سلم) s. f. 1. Delivery, consignment, cession, surrender, resignation. 2. Recommending to the care or protection of another. 3. Saluting most respectfully, homage, obeisance. 4. Health, security. (Plur. تسليمات taslīmāt). تسليمات بجالانا taslīmāt ba-jā lānā, To make obeisances. تسليم کرنا taslīm karnā, To resign, surrender, cede, commit, consign: to salute (most respectfully), to make obeisance, to homage, to do homage. تسليم هونا taslīm honā, To be resigned or committed.

ترکي turkī P 1. adj. Turkish. 2. s. m. A kind of horse. ترکي تمام هوٴي turkī tamām hūʼī, Spoilt, destroyed.

تلونـﮩ‍ا tiloṅhā S̱. (from तैल Oil) adj. (spoken of a lamp) Sloped so that the oil may reach the wick.

ترچهانا tirchhā-nā S̱. (from तिर्य्यच्) v. a. 1. To crook, slant, place in a transverse position. 2. v. n. To be perverse. 3. To be affected.
