تشبه tashabbuh A (inf. v. of شبه) s. m. Resem- blance, similitude.

تسبيح tasbīḥ A (inf. ii. of سبح Heb. He praised) s. f. 1. The act of praising God. 2. A rosary, a chaplet of beads (not applied to a Hindū rosary). تسبيح خانه tasbīḥ-ḵẖāna, A chapel. تسبيح خوان tasbīḥ-ḵẖẉān, 1. Saying prayers. 2. A person hired to pray for ano- ther, a private chaplain. تسبيح خواني tasbīḥ- ḵẖẉān-ī, The office of a chaplain.

تعداد tiﻌdād A or taﻌdād (from عدد) s. f. 1. Num- ber. 2. Computation, enumeration.

تانس taʼannus A (inf. v. of انس) s. m. Acquaint- ance.

تندور tandūr P. (for تنور) s. m. An oven.

تنوين tanwīn A (inf. ii. of نون) s. f. Nūnation, doubling the vowel with the final letter of a word in writing (which in pronunciation gives such vowel the additional sound of ن ṉ; as, تخميناً taḵẖmīnaṉ, اتفاقاً ittifāḳaṉ).

تمغا tamg̠ẖā P s. m. 1. A stamp on gold, silver, &c. or a brand or mark on an animal. 2. A tax on travellers. 3. A royal grant or charter.

تـﮩرانا tihrānā H v. a. To tertiate, to do the third time, to triple.

تنسل tanassul A (inf. v. of نسل) s. m. Pedigree.
