پري خواني parī-ḵẖẉān-ī P s. f. Exorcising, cal- ling aid from fairies.

پرجوٿ parjawaṭ प्राजावत S̱. s. m. Quit- rent, tax.

پلنا pilnā S̱. (पेलन r. पिल Cast, throw) 1. v. a. To attack, to assault. 2. v. n. To be bruised, thrashed, treaded, pressed, ground.

پوته pota P s. m. The scrotum. See فوطه.

پتال pattāl S̱. (पाताल in Hindū mythology) s. m. The infernal regions or a place under the earth.

پهيلنا phailnā H v. n. 1. To be spread, to spread. 2. To be expanded, dilated, diffused, scattered or dispersed. 3. To become publick.

پٿها paṭṭhā H s. m. 1. A young full-grown ani- mal, a youth, a wrestler. 2. A sinew, a tendon. 3. A plant with long leaves.

پست past P adj. Low, abject, lower, below. پست فطرت past-fit̤rat, adj. Of inferiour un- derstanding, low, base. پست همت past him- mat, adj. Low-minded, mean-spirited, un- ambitious. پست همتي past-himmat-ī, s. f. Low-mindedness, mean-spiritedness. پست وبلندديکهنا past o buland dekhnā, To consider and take precautions against the vicissitudes of for- tune.

پاڙنا pāṛnā S̱. (पातन or caus. of پڙنا) v. a. 1. To let fall, cause to fall, to knock or throw down; to finish, to kill. 2. To collect lamp-black. پاڙپڙنا pāṛ-paṛnā (dakh.) To suffer a blow (صدمه کهينچنا).
