پاٴيجامه pāʼe-jāma P s. m. Drawers, trousers.

پهپهولا phapholā S̱. (स्फोट) s. m. A blister. پهپهولي پهوٿني phaphole phūṭne, v. n. To be blistered; it is used to express the mind being blistered, to be afflicted. پهپهولي دل کي پهوڙني phaphole dil ke phoṛne, To satisfy a revenge that has long been rankling in oneʼs breast.

پلٿنا palaṭnā H v. n. To return, to turn back, to retreat; to overturn, to rebound; to change. H.S̱. پلٿهامارنا palṭhā mārnā, v. n. To sit down on the ground resting on the buttocks.

پروپکار परोपकार paropkār S s. m. The helping of others, beneficence. S. پروپکاري परोपकारी (i. e. पर Other, and उपकारी Assisting) paropakārī, adj. Acting for others, beneficent, hospitable.

پچهويا puchhwaiyā S̱. (from پوچهنا) s. m. An in- quirer. S. پچهي पक्षी (from पक्ष A side, party, wing) pachchh̤ī, s. m. 1. An ally, an assistant, fa- vourer, an advocate, a patron. 2. A bird.

پاک سنڙسي pāk-saṅṛsī H s. f. A table vice, a bench vice. (This is a modern name; for the instrument was introduced by Europeans). P.A. پاک صاف pāk-ṣāf, adj. Pure, clean, undefiled, unpolluted.

پروسا parosā परिवेषित S̱. s.m. A dish of food which is sent to a friend.

پلانا pilānā S̱. (caus. of پينا) v. a. To give or cause to drink.

پي pī S̱. or piya (प्रिय) 1. adj. Beloved. 2. s. m. A lover, a sweetheart, a husband.

پلپلاهٿ pilpilā-haṭ H (from پلپلانا) s. f. Softness.
