پنڐ pinḍ पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. Body, person. پنڐپڙنا pinḍ paṛnā, To follow, to pursue, to be intent on. پنڐچهڙانا pinḍ chhuṛānā, To avoid, to escape. 2. Balls made of flour or rice, at a religious ceremony of Hindūs. (They are after- wards thrown into the river or given to cows).

پيشاب peshāb प्रस्ताव S̱. s. m. Urine, piss.

پونون pūnauṅ S̱. (see پورنما) s. f. Day of full moon.

پهکڙ phakkaṛ H s. m. Wrangling, mutual abuse, brawl, raillery. پهکڙباز phakkaṛ-bāz, An abuser, an indecent chatterer.

پيا piyā प्रिय S̱. 1. adj. Beloved. 2. s. m. A husband, a lover, a sweetheart.

پرچوني parchūnī H s. f. The act of selling flour, meal, &c.

پرهيزي parhez-ī P adj. 1. Fit for a person under a regimen. 2. Same as پرهيزگار q. v.

پدهت paddhat S̱. (पद्धति A way) s. f. 1. Man- ner, custom. 2. A treatise on a particular science. 3. Ritual. 4. A title or titular name.

پاانداز pā-andāz P (پا Foot, and انداز part. pass. of انداختن To throw) s. m. A carpet spread at the entrance of a room for cleaning the feet on.

پنڐ panḍu पाण्डु S̱. s. m. Name of a sovereign of ancient Delhi, and nominal father of Yu- dhish̤ṭhir and the other four Pānḍava princes.
