پکهال pakhāl S̱. (पयःखल्ल i. e. पयस् Water, and खल्ल Leather) s. f. A large leather bag for holding water, generally carried on bullocks, a water-bag.

پـﮩرو pahrū S̱. (प्रहरी) s. m. A watchman, sentinel, guard.

پهونک phūnk S̱. (from پهونکنا) s. f. Act of blowing, a puff, a blast, blowing up (fire, &c.). پهونک پهونک کي پانودهرنا phūnk-phūnk-ke pāṅw dharnā, To act or walk carefully and cautiously. پهونک دينا phūnk denā, To set on fire.

پوري पोरी paurī S s. f. A gate, a door.

پگهلانا pighlānā S̱. (प्रगालन or trans. of پگهلنا q. v.) v. a. 1. To melt, to fuse. 2. To soften (an angry or a hard person), assuage, mollify.

پني पुण्य puṇya S s. m. Virtue, moral or reli- gious merit.

پکوڙي pakoṛī S̱. or pakauṛī, s. f. (पक्ववटी) A kind of dish made of pease-meal.

پتيانا patiyānā प्रत्ययन S̱. v. a. To confide in, to trust, to believe, to depend on.

پنڐياين panḍiyāyan S̱. s. f. The wife of a پانڐي.

پسو pissū H s. m. A flea.
