پٿها puṭṭhā H s. m. The buttock, the hip (of an animal).

پٿاري piṭārī H s. f. A weevil, an insect bred in rice, &c.

پهڙاپهڙي phaṛā-phaṛī S̱. s. f. Quarrel, squabble, battle, fight: see جنگ jang.

پرکاس प्रकाश प्र and r. काश Shine parkās S. or pra-kās, 1. s. m. Light, daylight, splendour, display, manifestation, revelation, appearance. 2. adj. Apparent, manifest, conspicuous, clear, notorious, illumined.

پراچت parāchit प्रायश्चित्त S̱. s. m. A fine or penance imposed on religious occasions as the price of absolution, atonement, expiation.

پون paun पादोन S̱. adj. A quarter less (than one or any given number); three quarters. See پوني paune.

پٿکن paṭkan H (see پٿکنا) s. f. A knock, a fall. پٿکن کهانا paṭkan khānā, To fall down.

پري pare S̱. (from पर) adv. Beyond, yonder, at a distance. پري رهنا pare rahnā, To remain at a distance.

پيٿهالنا paiṭhālnā S̱. (caus. of پيٿهنا q. v.) To force in, to make to penetrate, to thrust, to run in, to introduce, to insinuate.

پاچهـ pāchh H (from پاچهنا) s. m. The act of ino- culating, inoculation.
