اوزار auzār A s. plur. (of وزر) 1. Sins or offences (but in Hindī not used in this sense). 2. Arms, tools, apparatus. 3. The rigging and imple- ments of a ship or boat. 4. Asylums, places of defence.

آشمال āsh-māl P adj. Pottage or porridge rub- ber (perhaps one who lives by rubbing of pot- tage from vessels).

اري arī S̱. f. (अरे) interj. (used in calling to or addressing, commonly in a disrespectful way) Holla! ho! O! hear you! sirrah!

آگوا āgūʼā S̱. (see آکو āgū) s. m. A pommel.

آسا āsā S (आशा) s. f. Hope, desire, trust, reliance. (Affixed to other words آس signifies inclination, and آسا possessed of inclination; as پیاس piyās, Thirst, and پیاسا piyāsā, Thirsty, from پي pī, Drink).

اوٿنا oṭnā S̱. (see اوٿ) v. a. 1. To defend, to screen, to shelter. 2. To thrum, to separate the seed from cotton. 3. To catch (a ball, &c.).

اوکهده औषध aukh̤adh S s. f. See اوشده.

انبان ambān P s. 1. A very soft sort of hide or leather, cordovan. 2. A sack, wallet, bag or purse. P. H. آن بان ān bān, s. f. Spirit, proper pride.

اپرمان अ and प्रमाण Proof a-pramāṇ S. adj. Without proof, untrue. S. اپرم پار (अ priv. परम् Subsequent, after, and पार Opposite bank of a river) a-param-pār, adj. Boundless, infinite.

آکلي āklī S̱. (आकुल Agitated) s. f. Motion, agitation (especially, of a carriage).
