پياده piyāda P (Sans. पदाति) s. m. A foot- man, one on foot, a foot soldier, a pawn at chess. پياده پا piyāda-pā, adv. A foot, on foot. پياده پائي piyāda-pā-ī, s. f. The being a foot, tra- velling on foot.

پنا pinnā पिण्याक S̱. s. m. A cake of mus- tard seed remaining after the expression of the oil, and given to cows, &c. for food.

پورنا pūrnā S̱. (from पूर्ण) v. a. To weave (as a spider). v. n. To be filled. چوک پورنا chauk pūrnā, To make chequers or squares.

پيگشتي paigashtī H s. (dakh.) See ڐنڐيا ḍanḍiyā.

پوتلي pūtlī पुत्तली S̱. s. f. 1. A small pup- pet or image. 2. The apple of the eye: see پتلي.

پنـﮩارا panhārā पानीयहर S̱. s. m. A man who carries water in pots on his head.

پيشوا peshwā P s. m. 1. A leader, a guide, fore- man. 2. A title of the Mahārātta minister. پيشوالينا peshwā lenā, To meet and to receive (a friend or visitant).

پتل pattal S (पत्रावली) s. f. A plate or tren- cher formed of leaves.

پٿهنگا paṭhingā H s. (dakh.) See پناه panāh.

پتهرپهوڙ patthar-phoṛ S̱. s. m. A woodpecker. (Pi- cus).
