پنڐ pinḍ पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. Body, person. پنڐپڙنا pinḍ paṛnā, To follow, to pursue, to be intent on. پنڐچهڙانا pinḍ chhuṛānā, To avoid, to escape. 2. Balls made of flour or rice, at a religious ceremony of Hindūs. (They are after- wards thrown into the river or given to cows).

پهوس phūs H s. m. Old dry grass or straw. پهوس مين چنگاري ڐالنا phūs meṅ chingārī ḍālnā, To excite contention or strife.

پاٿن pāṭan H 1. s. f. A roof. 2. s. m. Name of a city.

پهبتي phabtī H (from پهبنا) s. f. Ornament, conjecturing what a person is by his dress. پهبتي کـﮩنا phabtī kahnā, v. a. To say what is conjectured by oneʼs dress.

پيوسته paiwasta P 1. adj. Joined, contiguous. 2. adv. Always, continually. 3. s. m. The year before last. پيوسته ابرو paiwasta-abrū, adj. Whose eyebrows join above the nose.

پور paur S (from पुर A town, a house, q. d. be- longing to a town or house) s. f. A gate, a door.

پيرامن pairāman P s. m. A circuit, circumference, environs, adjacent places; the skirt, lappet or flap of a garment; adv. About, around.

پهرپهري phurphurī S̱. (r. स्फुर Shake) s. f. Trem- bling, quivering, tremour, palpitation.

پاره pāra P s. m. A strap, a slip, a piece, a bit, a fragment. پاره دوز pāra-doz, s. m. 1. A patch- er, cobler. 2. A tent-maker or one who applies the leather parts in tents, pardas, &c.
