پهوڙا phauṛā H s. m. See پهاوڙا phāʼoṛā.

پچهيت pichhet S̱. (from پيچها) s. m. The back of a house: a yard or enclosure behind a house.

پچنا pachnā S̱. (r. पच Cook, mature) v. n. 1. To be digested. 2. To rot. 3. To be consumed; to take pains, to labour.

پياسي pyāsī पिपासिता S̱. adj. f. Thirsty.

پهيلانا phailānā H (trans. of پهيلنا) v. a. To spread, scatter, expand, diffuse, widen, stretch out, ex- tend, distend, dilate, publish, proclaim, to branch out. پانوپهيلانا pāṅw phailānā, see un- der پانو pāṅw. هاتهـ پهيلانا hāth phailānā, To beg.

پگڙي pagṛī H s. f. A turband. پگڙي اٿکنا pagṛī aṭaknā, To be obstinate, to persist or persevere. پگڙي چهپٿنا pagṛī chhapaṭnā, To practise de- ceit, to act treacherously.

پاو pāʼo पाद S̱. s. m. A quarter, a fourth part. ¶ pāw, see پانو pāṅw.

پهونکارنا phūnkārnā फुत्कार S̱. v. n. To hiss (as a snake), to snort.

پرکهي purkhe S̱. (plur. of پرکها from पुरुष) s. m. Ancestors, ancestry. See پرشا purush̤ā.

پٿپٿيا piṭpiṭiyā H adj. Combing or carding (wool, cotton, &c.).
