پنڐ pinḍ पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. Body, person. پنڐپڙنا pinḍ paṛnā, To follow, to pursue, to be intent on. پنڐچهڙانا pinḍ chhuṛānā, To avoid, to escape. 2. Balls made of flour or rice, at a religious ceremony of Hindūs. (They are after- wards thrown into the river or given to cows).

پوڙهنا pauṛhnā H v. n. To repose, to lie down, to rest.

پنـﮩاني pinhān-ī P s. f. Concealment.

پيشين pesh-īn P adj. Anteriour, ancient, prior, former. s. m. The afternoon.

پختري puḵẖtarī P s. f. 1. Cakes (or bread) which are laid over dishes when bringing to table, and under which the meat is kept warm. 2. Cakes imbued with clarified butter from being laid over certain greasy dishes, such as dopiyāza, &c. (These cakes are very soft and savoury; whence) ماماپختريان کهانا māmā puḵẖ- tariyāṅ khānā, To eat cakes of this description prepared by his mother, is applied to a person accustomed to luxury and incapable of labour or fatigue.

پياس pyās पिपासा S̱. s. f. Thirst. پياس بجهانا pyās bujhānā, To quench thirst. پياس لگنا pyās lagnā, To be thirsty. پياس مارنا pyās mārnā, To suffer thirst. پياس مرنا pyās marnā, Applied to thirst which vanishes without drinking.
